Teeple brings a wealth of senior level experience in agricultural technology, business strategy, and innovative engineering to abcg™ and its clients.

With a personal and professional life deeply rooted in agriculture, including spending more than two decades at John Deere, John Teeple, has joined industrial vehicle consultancy abcg™ as Associate Advisor.

During Teeples’ 23 years at John Deere his roles encompassed technology, engineering, new product development, strategy and manufacturing. His senior positions included business unit manager, tractor factory manager, director of corporate strategy and director of technology. As the head of John Deere’s Precision Agriculture business, he was also responsible for groundbreaking tech-based developments, including the acquisition of Blue River Technology, a pioneering agriculture-focused robotics and AI company.

Since leaving John Deere in 2019, Teeple has continued to expand his career in agricultural technology and business strategy. He served as Senior Vice President of Agriculture at operational intelligence, advanced analytics, and machine learning company DTN. He also led the agriculture vertical at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Today he sits on the boards of various agricultural equipment and ag tech companies, including one of the largest multi-state John Deere dealer groups in the U.S., Agrivision Prairieland Partners.

abcg™ is keen to leverage Teeple’s extensive background in agricultural equipment, product development and manufacturing. His expertise in precision agriculture, autonomy, robotics, and his global business experience will be invaluable to the firm’s clients. His insights will help clients navigate the evolving commercial vehicle landscape, particularly in areas such as technology transformation, regulatory changes, and strategic growth.

Teeple holds an undergraduate degree in industrial technology and an MBA from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He also completed a global leadership development program at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
