The EU Commission has unveiled a €500m package of measures  following emergency talks in Brussels.

Responding to the announcement on Monday, NFU President Meurig Raymond welcomed the release of funds that may provide assistance to farmers in the short term. He said, “We appreciate the €500m for dairy farmers across Europe, particularly as this comes at a time when EU budgets are under ‎tremendous pressure. It is currently unclear how much of this would come to Britain."
