The celebration of Scotland's very best food and drink producers will take place on Thursday, 4th September. The prestigious Awards will return to Glasgow for the second year in a row, with Bowman, one of the country’s best known and loved TV, radio and podcast personalities, presenting coveted awards to the outstanding products and people who make up Scotland’s vibrant food and drink industry.

Asda, one of the UK's leading supermarket chains, has also renewed its commitment to The Excellence Awards, supporting the event as headline sponsors again this year – something the retailer has done for more than a decade.

The Excellence Awards has expanded its categories this year to include four new awards to celebrate food tourism businesses, innovation, organic businesses, and food and drink campaigns. Businesses can enter the business or tasted awards via Scotland’s Food & Drink’s website until 28th May, with entries open to both Members and non-Members.

The Excellence Awards has been one of the highest accolades in the industry for more than 20 years, and this year will comprise of 14 tasted awards and seven business categories. All products entered into tasted categories are sampled and assessed by an expert judging panel that includes buyers from major retailers, wholesalers and foodservice, as well as journalists and independent venue operators.

Edith Bowman, host of The Excellence Awards 2025, said: “I am so excited to be hosting The Excellence Awards and as a proud Scot, to be celebrating the best of Scotland’s exceptional food and drink scene is an honour.

“Having grown up in the hospitality world, I know only too well the hard work and dedication that goes into providing amazing quality and service. Nobody does it like we do, and I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone.”

Iain Baxter, Chief Executive of Scotland Food & Drink, added: “Coming from Fife, Edith Bowman grew up surrounded by some of the country’s finest food and drink producers, and will be a knowledgeable and entertaining host for this year’s Excellence Awards celebrations.
