Diana Overton appointed Trustee of RABI charity
Frontier Agriculture’s Finance Director, Diana Overton has been appointed as a Trustee of RABI (The Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, http://www.rabi.org.uk ) in the role of Honorary Treasurer. The appointment was formalised at the RABI Annual General Meeting in May.
RABI is the agricultural charity at the heart of farming and provides a wide range of support and services to farming people across England and Wales.
Having first joined the Council of Trustees as a Co-Opted Trustee in September 2022, Diana spoke about her new appointment as Trustee: “Frontier has a long-standing relationship with RABI. Many of our employees are passionate about their local farming communities; having forged strong working relationships and friendships within those communities.
“RABI is one of a number of charities Frontier has supported with fund raising activities and charitable donations in the past such as those made recently https://www.frontierag.co.uk/news-events/news/news-archive/1551-frontier-is-donating-10k-for-mental-health-awareness-week during Mental Health Awareness Week. I’m looking forward to supporting RABI with the excellent work they do in agriculture. I am keen to help support ongoing initiatives that raise RABI’s profile and increase accessibility to the support and services provided by the charity.”

Chair of Trustees, John Stanley warmly welcomes Diana’s appointment, saying, “We are delighted that Diana has joined our Council of Trustees as RABI’s Honorary Treasurer. Diana joins us at a time when, with the cost-of-living crisis impacting many in farming who are already facing significant challenges and stressors, RABI’s services have never been more needed.
“However tough it seems, RABI is always contactable via the 24/7 freephone number (0800 188 4444) and has a range of practical, financial and emotional support available to anyone in the farming community. One-to-one person centric, expert and customised support is available to meet individual needs for however long that help is needed.
“As we continue to expand the range and breadth of our support, we very much value having Diana and the enormous experience she brings, alongside us on the next stages of our journey.”
Working with RABI supports Frontier’s commitment to community involvement and charitable giving within the People pillar of The Responsible Choice https://www.frontierag.co.uk/about/trc.
