Growers can now get an Android version of the CropMonitor App. The App can be downloaded from the Google Android Market at https://market.android.com. The activation fee is a one off charge of just £2.99.

A collaboration between the HGCA, Fera, Farming Online and Bayer CropScience the App has proven extremely popular since its launch in April. Bayer’s Sarah Rixon says user feedback so far is very positive and that there’s further functionality to come. “It’s clear that many growers and agronomists are rapidly embracing the new mobile technology and having access to forecast data when in a field is a real benefit.
