Conagri gears up for a prize-winning open event
The winners of Conagri’s Captain Tractors draw will be announced.
Agricultural and construction machinery supplier Conagri will launch its new events space at a two-day open event later this month.
The event, at the home of Conagri and its dealer subsidiary AMIA in Bow, Devon, will take place on Friday and Saturday, October 31st and November 1st when fresh food and drinks will be supplied by the new pop-up café, The Tractor Shed.
Both days will see demonstrations and an opportunity for visitors to try* different machinery, including Sunward excavators and skid steers, Venieri pivot loaders, Aodes ATVs and UTVs, GL&D bio chippers and woodchippers, Negri woodchippers and shredders, and the Captain Tractors brand of compact tractors which are available in a wide range of bespoke colours.
Events on the Friday between 2pm and 8pm will include a live and online ceremony at 5pm to draw the winners of a pink and a black Captain tractor – the focus of Conagri’s summer charity campaign.
The campaign was launched to raise money for two major charities alongside Conagri’s exclusive UK launch of the compact tractor brand. Conagri took the pink and black Captain Tractors on a national tour of county, agricultural and local shows to raise money for the Pink Ribbon Foundation and Prostate Cancer UK respectively. It was supported by TV presenter/breast cancer survivor Julia Bradbury whose father Michael is himself a prostate cancer survivor
Visitors at the shows were asked to donate £10 to be entered into a charity draw to win either £10,000 tractor, and many thousands of £s were raised in just a few months. The winners will be drawn by Lisa Allen from the Pink Ribbon Foundation.
The Friday will also see live music from local artist Debbie Kent, from 6pm to 8pm. The Saturday runs from 8am to 2pm.
Parking on the Friday will be at Bow Football Club and on the Saturday at the Waie Inn, with a local bus company running a shuttle bus.
Conagri director Andrew Venton said: “We can’t wait to present our winners with their prizes. We thought there should be a dual purpose to our introductory tour of the Captain Tractors brand and there’s no better cause than these two charities, as our ticket sales will verify.”
Conagri is the sole UK distributor of Captain Tractors - high-end compact tractors and attachments for a wide range of agricultural uses, including land preparation, sowing and crop care, harvesting and ancillary/equestrian work.
Conagri already has one dealer - AMIA in the South West - and is also actively looking to recruit others in East and West Scotland, Cumbria, the North West and North East, North Wales, West Midlands, East Midlands, The Midlands, South East, South West, and South (Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire).
