The potato leafhopper (Empoasca fabae) is a tiny insect - barely half the size of a grain of rice - with a bright lime green colouring that helps it blend in against plant leaves. Despite their unassuming appearance, the tiny ‘hoppers’ are a major agricultural pest in the Eastern United States.
