BASF's Ignite gets approval

The Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD) have granted approval for BASF’s new EC formulation of epoxiconazole; Ignite®, for use in winter wheat, spring wheat, durum wheat, winter barley, spring barley, triticale, rye and oats.

The MAPP No. is 15205.


Ignite
® is the only emulsifiable concentrate formulation of solo epoxiconazole on the market and brings the following features and benefits;
·        New and improved formulation technology compared to Opus
·        Quicker drying and outstanding rainfastness with Stick and Stay technology
·        The most curative solo epoxiconazole
·        Improved consistency in disease control and yield response compared to Opus

Ignite contains 83 g/l epoxiconazole.

The maximum label dose rate is 1.5L/ha (applies 125g epoxiconazole per ha).
The maximum total dose rate is 3L/ha.
Whereas half rate Opus is 0.5L/ha (applies 62.5g epoxiconazole per ha), half rate of Ignite is 0.75L/ha (applies 62.5g epoxiconazole per ha).

The latest timing of application and all other product details remain the same as Opus.


Ignite® is the new standard of solo epoxiconazole.
