Kaleb Cooper chooses Lowdham YFC as EIEIO winners
Lowdham Young Farmers' Club in Nottinghamshire were revealed as the winners of the EIEIO Challenge for a Reel they produced that promotes the importance of following the Countryside Code and respecting the British countryside. The club has won tickets to see Kaleb Cooper on tour next year.

'Over the moon' with New Zealand scholarship
It took one YFC member 10 years to pluck up the confidence to apply for a YFC Travel opportunity to work in New Zealand but the waiting paid off after she was awarded a place.

Help and inspiration for new entrants
A new report sharing insights on how new entrants and next generation farmers can overcome key barriers to working in the industry is now available for YFC members. The Sustainable Futures report, supported by Defra and Tama, was shared during National Young Farmers' Week to offer support to new entrants.

YFC members to celebrate Power of Diversity
Two YFC members will be learning more about the impact of a diverse agricultural sector after earning scholarships to the Oxford Farming Conference in January. Sian Davies from Builth Wells and Marley Lamerton from Cornwall were awarded the NFYFC scholarships courtesy of the Worshipful Company of Farmers.

Get involved in the YFC Recycle challenge
A new campaign to encourage farmers to recycle more of their waste launched during National Young Farmers' Week, supported by Tama. County Federations are being asked to partner with local recycling companies to set up a scheme that incentivises farmers to recycle more of their farm waste and raises funds for their YFCs.

New YFC Online Safeguarding course supports clubs
A new online safeguarding course, developed by NFYFC for officers involved in Young Farmers' Clubs, has already been delivered to nearly 500 people since the start of the membership year. The course, which was supported by funding from the NFU Mutual Charitable Trust, is providing club officers with the tools, skills and confidence to carry out their role and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all members.

Gearing up County Chairs for leadership roles
Teamwork and leadership skills were put to the test at NFYFC's County Chairs training weekend when participants were involved in a Wacky Races themed challenge.

England and Wales' members join with 5 Nations at first conference
NFYFC members from England and Wales attended the first ever five nations conference this month, which was hosted by the Scottish Association of Young Farmers' Clubs in Scotland. The conference was aimed at uniting the five organisations to share best practice and to develop rural leadership skills.
