Appeal after liquid fertiliser worth £8,000 stolen from Dorset farm

Officers are appealing for witnesses following the theft of liquid fertiliser worth more than £8,000 from a tank at a farm in the Piddletrenthide area.

Between 31 March and 10 May 2022, the offenders gained access to a remote farm in the area between Piddletrenthide and Plush, broke the lock on a large storage tank and took 12,000 litres of liquid fertiliser.

Police Constable Paul Miners, of Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, said: “Such thefts have a big impact on our rural community and I am trying to progress my enquiries to identify those responsible.

“I urge anyone with information about the incident that might help my investigation to contact us.”
