'Everything You Need to Know about Solar PV’

‘Solar farming’ is on the rise as technology, economics and environmental issues drive renewable energy generation. The energy of the sun has been used by farmers for centuries for growing and drying crops. Now with oil and gas prices going up, farmers are looking to the sun to provide a new income. Compared to other on-farm renewable energy technologies, solar photovoltaics (PV) are a particularly simple and cost-effective solution to generating your own electricity – reducing your bills and your carbon footprint.

Convening experts from the NFU, Ownergy, Solar Century and many others, presentations will target how solar PV can be part of a farming business. From different types of solar PV system, installation and project management to FITs, finance and planning – there will be a wealth information presented for you to make informed decisions about investment.

The event is free to attend with lunch provided. To register call Kate O’Hagan on 020 7324 3671 or email farming@forumforthefuture.org.

The event will run from 9am-2pm at The Tree Barn, Watlington, Oxon, OX49 5HG.
