AMAZONEN-WERKE is starting a collaboration with VSS Machinebouw B.V. from Oudelande in the Netherlands. For years, VSS Machinebouw has been known in the agricultural machinery sector as a professional manufacturer of packers and rollers under brand name VSS Agro and will perfectly complement the AMAZONE plough range in this segment. AMAZONE sales partners and customers will therefore be able to draw on the long-standing know-how of this specialist in targeted, site-specific reconsolidation during inversion soil tillage.

For use with the plough, the integrated VSS Agro Furrow Press packer system, with its different levels of equipment, is now available through AMAZONE. The mounting kit is compatible with both the Teres 300 and Teres 300 V models, but not when fitted with hydraulic overload protection, as well as for the Cayros XMS with 3 or 4 furrows, likewise without hydraulic overload protection.

The Furrow Press packer runs parallel to the plough and automatically adapts to the working width, preventing the repeat reconsolidation of part areas. This ensures uniform reconsolidation, even when there are changes in the working width. Furthermore, the Furrow Press can be used from the very first furrow on the field. Even ploughing close to the field side on the headland is not a problem with the integrated packer system.

VSS Machinebouw offers packer rings in different sizes. The rings with a diameter of 710 mm in combination with the AMAZONE plough enable effective reconsolidation, especially on heavy ground. The pressure on the packer can either be adjusted mechanically using stop screws or hydraulically.

The fixed connection to the plough offers a considerable time advantage during transport between the yard and field, as the packer does not need to be transported separately. Finished in the AMAZONE design, the two devices form a harmonious unit that stands out both from a technical and aesthetic standpoint.
