All you need to know about UK Dairy Day 2017
With less than one week to go until UK Dairy Day 2017, here is some useful information for those attending the event next Wednesday 13 September from 8am to 5.30pm at the International Centre, Telford, Shropshire, TF3 4JH.
- Entry – UK Dairy Day is free to attend, no pre-registration is required simply turn up at the entrance, receive a wrist band and enter the venue.
- Car Parking – The venue is located off junction 4 or 5 of the M54 in Telford town centre. Car parking is free on site and in the adjacent town centre multi storey car parks. Remember to validate your ticket at the visitor information desk.
- Seminar Timetable – The timetable for the seminar presentations and confirmation of speakers is available to view online - http://www.ukdairyday.co.uk/seminars
- Practical Demonstrations – There are four areas where practical demonstrations are taking place – Foot Trimming & Knife Sharpening, Calf Rearing Zone, NBDC Breed Village with Type Classification and ‘Beneath the Black and White’ Calf painting.
- New Product Zone & Awards – 12 new products launched in the last 12 months or at the event will feature in the new product zone. - Cattle Show Timetable – The cattle show will feature 39 classes, with a new format in place this year. The junior classes will be judged in the morning and the senior classes in the afternoon concluding with the Interbreed Championships and Interbreed Dairy Pairs. - Cattle Show Results – The show results will be published on UK Dairy Day social media as they happen and will also be published on the UK Dairy Day website during the Wednesday evening.
- Careers – On the first floor within the Sharing Knowledge Zone will be a careers board advertising any roles in the industry.
- Partner – AHDB are the UK Dairy Day Knowledge Partner for 2017 and will be supporting the Knowledge Trail around the venue to gain Dairy Pro CPD points to maximum of 12
- Event & Cattle Guide – On arrival at the venue the A5 event and cattle guide will be available to pick up for free - this features all you need to know about the event including a list of cattle and trade exhibitors. Additional copies will be available from the 20 dispenser units located around the venue, at the main entrance, organisers office, press office and visitor desk.
- Live Streaming – The cattle show will be broadcast live streamed on the UK Dairy Day You Tube which will also feature on the home page of the website.
- Free UK Dairy Day App – Register for the UK Dairy Day App and opt into a draw to win an iPad mini 2 32GB worth £270. The UK Dairy Day App provides information at your fingers tips with seminar timetable, cattle show timetable, practical demonstrations, sponsors, exhibitor listings and restaurant offers.
- Restaurant Offers – Adjacent to the International Centre is the Southwater Complex and Telford Town Centre.
