AHDB dividing largest regions

AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds is expanding its team of regional managers serving levy payers in England and Wales from four to six.

The levy organisation is looking for two new regional managers to join the existing four, to make sure that more farmers are able to access AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds services.

The current East region will be divided into East Anglia and the South East, while the East Midlands will be made into its own region.

Acting Director of AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds, Richard Laverick, said: “This is a key development for AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds, expanding the team will allow more time on-farm, more direct contact with levy payers and result in more information being fed back from the regions to inform organisational strategy and service development.”

By dividing the largest regions, AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds will be able to expand the successful Monitor Farm network and benchmarking services, and to increase the number of Arable Business Groups the organisation can support.

The new regions will also align more closely with the NFU and Defra, making it easier for all three organisations to work together.

AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds’ structure in Scotland remains unchanged.

The new regional structure will be as follows:
East Anglia – Tim Isaac
East Midlands – Harry Henderson
South East – New regional manager
South West – Philip Dolbear
West & Wales – Richard Meredith
North – New regional manager

The closing date for applications for the two new regional manager posts is 4 September 2015. For more information about the roles, visit ahdb.org.uk/vacancies.
