Agrovista acquires Eden Farm Chemicals
Agronomy and precision agriculture company, Agrovista, has acquired Cumbria-based Eden Farm Chemicals.
Agrovista said the change in ownership will give Cumbrian farmers access to a wider range of cereal and forage crop inputs, more efficient deliveries and a range of agronomy, product and precision services.
The Eden Farm Chemicals depot will remain at its current location (Gilwilly Industrial Estate, Penrith), but work will be undertaken to expand the depot and it will now become part of Agrovista’s national network.
“For Eden, it will be very much business as usual, supplying agricultural and amenity chemicals, seeds, crop additives, as well as fertiliser and sprayer accessories,” Eden’s Peter Charlton said.
Three agronomists, Simon Nelson, Steven Gate and Peter Charlton, will operate from Gilwilly depot providing agronomic advice through the Eden Valley as well as to the wider area.
