A spokesperson from Lincolnshire Police said: "If you have any information to assist our enquiry, or you saw any suspicious activity in the area, please get in touch in one of the following ways:

"By calling 101 quoting incident 187 of November 19. By emailing force.control@lincs.police.uk quoting 187 of November 19 in the subject line.

"If you wish to remain anonymous, you can report via the independent charity CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111."

The panels plus the inverters are believed to be worth an estimated £70,000.

Tom Craven told Lincolnshire Live: "We were actually doing a flock change at the time, which is where we take all of the chickens out of the poultry unit to disinfect it and everything.

"During that week there was no reason for us to go down and check the poultry unit because there were no chickens in it.

"So we're not entirely sure when the theft actually took place, and it could be that whoever did it was here over multiple evenings."

Tom added that he was also advised to "put images out on social media."
