2015 Harvest by numbers - recalculated
Looking at the Harvest Results data in a little more detail and with 70,000ac of data (so far) comparing the same date range for 2014 & 2015 yields are up across the board with oilseed rape being the highest by nearly 9%.
2014 (t/ha) | 2015 (t/ha) | Diff % | |
---|---|---|---|
wheat | 10.19 | 10.74 | 5.4 |
barley | 8.51 | 8.98 | 5.5 |
oats | 8.08 | 8.79 | 8.8 |
oilseed rape | 4.02 | 4.35 | 8.2 |
Harvest 2015 has been a little damper than 2014 which is reflected in the average moistures per crop, particularly the earlier harvested barley & oilseed rape. The Harvest Results adjust for moisture, so this is accounted for in the yield analysis.
