BASIS Registration Ltd announces renewed leadership team to drive strategic change

BASIS Registration Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its Senior Leadership Team (SLT), marking a key milestone in a wider transformation programme underway across the organisation.

Since her permanent appointment as Chief Executive Officer in early 2025, Corrina Urquhart has led a strategic reshaping of the organisation to enhance leadership capacity, increase resilience, and ensure BASIS is well positioned to meet the evolving needs of the land-based and agri-food sector, including environmental management

As part of this transformation, BASIS has already:

  • Refreshed its Board of Directors, welcoming seven new Trustees, each bringing valuable expertise from across the sectors BASIS supports.
  • Redesigned its internal structure, creating a newly formed Senior Leadership Team and a more responsive staffing model to strengthen leadership and delivery.

Now, two key appointments to the SLT have been confirmed:

  • Harry Henderson, who has been with BASIS for two years as Technical Manager, has been seconded into the role of Head of Education and Partnerships, where he will lead the organisation’s qualifications and training portfolio.
  • Martin Ford joins BASIS as Head of Commercial Development, bringing with him commercial insight and strategic expertise to support growth and diversification.

With a full-strength SLT in place, BASIS is now shifting from a period of transition to a phase of strategic planning and proactive delivery.

“These changes represent a real step forward,” said Corrina Urquhart, CEO. “They give us the stability and capability we need to deliver with confidence, while staying true to our ambition to raise standards across the industry. I am delighted to welcome Harry and Martin into their new roles and excited to lead BASIS into this next chapter.”

The two new SLT members shared their enthusiasm for the journey ahead:

Harry Henderson, Head of Education and Partnerships, said:
“I’m proud to step into this role at such a pivotal time. Education and professional development are at the core of BASIS’s mission, and I’m looking forward to working with colleagues and partners to strengthen our impact across all of the sectors.”

Martin Ford, Head of Commercial Development, added:
“BASIS has an exciting future ahead. I’m thrilled to be joining a team so committed to professional standards and sustainability. My focus will be on building strong commercial foundations that help us grow and deliver even more value to our members and stakeholders.”
